Speaking & Education Services

Professional development and training that transforms practice through anti-oppression, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodivergent-informed approaches rooted in real-world application.

I provide speaking engagements, workshops, and training services for organizations, healthcare systems, and mental health professionals who want to create truly affirming and inclusive care. My work combines clinical expertise with lived experience and active community engagement to create real, systemic change.

Current Partnerships and Initiatives

  • Eddy County Health Council: Leading social media campaigns around back-to-school support, addressing body image, trauma, and food insecurity in rural communities

  • Shield the Future: Presenting on AI and mental health applications as part of a global task force

  • Equality New Mexico: Screening and endorsing political candidates aligned with equitable healthcare access

  • Leadership Carlsbad (2023-2024): Community leadership development focused on resource gaps and solutions

My presentations address real gaps in current research and practice. Recent speaking engagements include Texas Tech University (eating disorders in aging adults and research limitations) and Midland ISD (creating life-saving affirming spaces for youth). My approach is grounded in both clinical training and lived experience - I understand food insecurity, high-control religious environments, and the challenges of building authentic community in spaces that weren't designed for people like us.

What sets my work apart: I've worked at the highest levels and lowest levels of eating disorder care. I have lived experience in both major cities and under-resourced rural communities. I know what it's like to fight systems from the inside and outside. As someone who is able-bodied, white, and often read as cisgender/heterosexual, I'm committed to using these privileges to create broader systemic change rather than just individual healing.

My Training Philosophy

DSC_4742.JPG
Practical Application Over Theory

My trainings focus on immediately applicable skills rather than abstract concepts. Participants leave with concrete tools, specific language, and actionable strategies they can implement immediately in their work.

Lived Experience Integration

I bring authentic lived experience alongside clinical expertise. This combination allows me to address the real challenges that marginalized individuals face and the specific ways that systems can harm or heal.

Systemic Change Focus

Rather than placing the burden on individuals to adapt to broken systems, my trainings focus on how to change systems to better serve marginalized communities. This includes policy changes, environmental modifications, and cultural shifts.
