2017 - 2021

Lubbock Christian University

Master of Science, Clinical Mental Health Counseling

My graduate training provided comprehensive preparation in clinical assessment, therapeutic interventions, and ethical practice. Coursework emphasized multicultural counseling competencies, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based treatment modalities. I completed extensive practicum and internship hours in a rural outpatient clinical setting, developing expertise in individual and group therapy. My thesis work focused on eating disorder treatment approaches, laying the foundation for my specialized practice with marginalized communities

2010 - 2015

University of Houston

Bachelor of Science, Human Nutrition & Food

My undergraduate studies in nutrition science provided essential understanding of the complex relationship between food, body, and health. Coursework included biochemistry, physiology, food science, and community nutrition. This foundation proved invaluable in later developing anti-diet, weight-inclusive approaches to eating disorder recovery. My nutrition background allows me to understand the medical aspects of eating disorders while challenging diet culture from an evidence-based perspective.
