About Me
I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to help you dismantle the systems that taught you there was something wrong with you in the first place.
My work builds on the revolutionary foundation laid by scholars like bell hooks and Audre Lorde - I'm not bringing anything new to the table, just creating space for their wisdom in therapy. As an empathetic listener working within a system I'm actively trying to disrupt, I use my privileges (straight-sized, able-bodied, white, and often read as cisgender/heterosexual) as a co-conspirator to advocate in spaces where marginalized voices need amplification.
This isn't therapy that asks you to adapt to broken systems. This is therapy that honors your rage, celebrates your differences, and fights the systems trying to shrink you.

The people I work with - the unicorns, the ones told they're 'too much' - their journey is a sacred path, and I am deeply honored to walk alongside them.
The world is scary and it is hard. To hold space for everything - your neurodivergent brain in a neurotypical world, your queer identity in spaces that don't celebrate you, your body in a culture that profits from your shame, your trauma in systems that created it - requires us to pause. To take a second to respond instead of react.
You've been carrying so much. You've been fighting systems that were never designed for your liberation. You've been trying to heal in spaces that didn't honor your wholeness.
I see you. I see your magic. I see how the world has tried to convince you that your sensitivity is weakness, your differences are disorders, your needs are too much. But here's the truth: you are exactly who this world needs. Your authenticity is rebellion. Your existence is resistance.
My Journey
I grew up in rural Indiana as a product of the very systems I now work to dismantle. Something always felt 'off' - that feeling so many of my clients know well. I started pursuing a degree in nutrition (ha!), until a professor saved my life and opened my eyes to the deeper work of counseling.
During the pandemic, everything shifted. I had a reckoning with who I am and what I'm actually about. I wrestled with my shame, came out as queer and late-diagnosed neurodivergent, and made a choice: to be outspoken using my privileges where I can, and to step back and listen when marginalized voices need to be centered.
This work found me because I needed it first. As someone who lived these systems, felt their harm, and then found a way through - I know what it feels like to be told you're too much while simultaneously feeling like you're not enough.

My Approach
My approach integrates EMDR, somatic work, and parts-based therapy within an anti-oppression framework that acknowledges individual healing happens within systems of power. I don't just help you cope with trauma, eating disorders, or neurodivergent experiences - we work to understand how oppressive systems created these struggles and how your healing contributes to collective liberation.
Whether you're navigating LGBTQIA+ identity, neurodivergent experiences, eating disorder recovery, or trauma healing, I bring specialized tools beyond traditional talk therapy. This isn't therapy that asks you to adapt to broken systems - it's therapy that honors your wisdom while giving you concrete skills for healing.
You can stim freely, process at your own pace, and show up authentically without having to educate me about your basic existence.
Life in the Desert
Living in rural New Mexico, I understand the unique challenges of desert life. Treatment options are limited, resources are scattered across vast distances, and it can feel very scary to 'unmask' when your community is small and everyone knows everyone.
I know what it's like when the nearest specialist is hours away, when your internet connection determines your access to care, when you're weighing whether it's safe to be your authentic self in a place where word travels fast.
This is why I talk with my clients about the safety of the mask - understanding how and when to wear it for protection, and how and when to let it safely fall to the side. There's wisdom in knowing that unmasking is a privilege not everyone can afford in every situation, and there's also profound healing in finding spaces where you can breathe freely.
Virtual therapy breaks down these geographic barriers while honoring the reality that safety looks different for everyone. You get to heal in your own space, at your own pace, with someone who understands that liberation isn't just personal - it's geographic, economic, and social too.

My Commitment
When you work with me, you can expect a therapist who shows up fully present and prepared. I won't make you explain basic concepts about your LGBTQIA+ identity, your neurodivergent brain, or your relationship with your body. I do my homework, stay current on research, and bring both lived experience and clinical expertise to our sessions.
I promise to challenge the systems harming you while creating a brave space for your healing. I'll advocate for you in spaces where my privilege carries weight, and I'll step back when your voice needs to be centered.
You'll never be too much in my office. Your stimming, your processing style, your emotional intensity, your questions, your rage - all of it is welcome. We'll explore together how your identities and intersectionalities have been both privileges and barriers, because understanding your full experience is essential to your liberation.
This is therapy where you get to be the expert of your own experience while I bring the tools, training, and revolutionary framework to support your authentic healing.
